depends on the ali. did you use planlink or ali sheets? ali sheets will dent in n time and look tatty as anything

It is ali sheeting, that's why I want to line with something light to protect it, as the old vermeer chucks chip out at a serious rate.

Ply or steel or is grp strong? On my old boxes which were made from marine ply (Yes they weighed a ton-literally) I would double the thickness at the strike area then replace when that bit wore out.

Can anyone help me with the name for the aluminium that comes in sort of linkable box section that I often see used for truck sides, I think steve referred to it earlier as 'planlink' but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Is there another common name for it?

If it is on the inside, I would just use 6 or 9mm exterior ply.

GRP is heay stuff and expensive as well.

Rgds....Al.

Ahh, that's just what I wanted to know.

I'm doing thin ply at the sides (which I tried to glue, but will reinforce with rivets) and 18mm as the firing board.

Will take photos and post... just for a laugh, of course.

Can someone tell me how to whack photies on here. Cheers
