Like Egger says, tarmac likely to have a hefty price tag but reasonably quick to instal and no big delay in use after laying. 
 

Any way of making a temp access route that would allow light traffic for a short period whilst a slower to instal but cheaper than tarmac option was laid down?  - prob enough money saved to lay down and take up a temp access (803, Woodchip?) and still have money left over.

Id try anything before tarmac, it’s expensive and not great environmentally.

Is there an environmental option.... green concrete? ? I guess I could have a quiet chat (blood is biodegradable right?)with the selfish tw@s that have moved into the land at the end of the lane and established a fookin animal sanctuary (planning applications to follow no doubt!)...90% increase in traffic?

Shared access and mutual maintenance costs?  Always a drama ?

 

Slaughter them all and bury them in the new road!

I worked it out on the information available, minimal prep, so repair potholes, sweep it off  then overlay the original drive.

 

450 meters * 3 meters = 1350 Msq @ £40/ meter = £54k.

 

Would be another £15-£20 meter if not more if sub base was required.

I think the last concrete we had in bulk was £90 a cube so at 8inch thick (to be on the safe side) and £15 for laying and prep I would say £30k plus vat.
