Who are you insured with mate? as im through arbinsure my kit is valued to £15000 and works out at £5.50 a week!! i would rather have my kit insured than try the microdot route, you are still running the risk of the police actually finding the item, i dont have enough confidence in them to put my livelihood in the hands of the police some of them could not find there ar-se with both hands.

Exactly, Insure it, Job done!! :thumbup1:

Once its nicked you've no chance of seeing it again

I have suffered greatly from theft, but unlike most on here I do know that often enough it is found, but equaly as often, they cant connect a haul to its owners, and so they cannot prosecute the holder on those items.

I was even asked by a copper to go to a warehouse they had hit to see if I recognised any of my kit as they was desperate to have this guy. it was a big outfit warehouse and all, no small fry.

MARK YOUR KIT, you DO stand a chance of getting it back, but these guys get away with it because of numbnutts who "cant be bovverd innit"

mm, my thoughts. set up proper security, as good as possible, better to prevent theft than be a statistic, for when it goes wrong as you said insurance comes into play, but to prove the pile of saws found in somebodys caravan isnt theres it should be identifiable as somebodys, i dont wana give the scum an easy ride, oh i gave up smoking as soon as i started as i got a sore throat..:001_smile: Ed
