Dogwood and Bramble on flower also seen Apple and Hawthorn but no photos, anyone else seen strange things flowering.

Fecking rhododendrons flowering again, I hate them.

My apple tree has been back in flower for the last couple of weeks, it’s never happened in the last 10 years.

Not flowers but saw and heard a big old Fallow stag grunting at the does and going round with his tail up marking his territory .

You will get what's called a false rut, it's like a second go at breeding. Usually when  the weather gets milder. Happens with Sika so I assume that Fallow will as well.

Thanks I thought it was to do with the mild weather . Usually in the spring its the increasing light  levels hitting their retina that triggers it .

I heard a grunting over the weekend.  I went out with a big torch and straight away a set of eyes and antlers in my garden.  It trotted off into the forest after about 40s.

My geese decided to start laying, don't usually get the first egg until mid Feb.

It is quite normal for apples to have a few flowers on around about now, Bramley nearly always do it. Not full blossom mind,
