An old oleo Mac 946. Can it be changed to a 3/8 lo pro?

Hey there

 

I'm in the process of refurbishing my old man's oleo-mac 946. It's set up with a .325 sprocket and chain on a 20" bar. But I'd like to change it to a 3/8 lo pro chain on a 16" bar.

 

Is this possible? Or do I have keep to the 0.325?

 

Also will a 3/8 lo pro chain work on a quarter tip bar?

Basically a single malt on offer would have the advice flying in. A few blokes on here come up with an answer for everything but it all takes time out of their day. Try ebay and Northern Arb supplies, something for every saw on there. I loved my old Oleo on conifer, worth the bother.  K

Did abit of googling seems they are k095 mount according to (oregons selector guide anyway?) so you could  use bars same as husky 550xp etc

 

Stick 550xp in will give you a selection

Not sure any low pro 3/8 on this bar mount?

 

But could run 0.50 speed cut ,325 low pro....
