6 lt compressor

Hi all,

Is a 6lt air compressor enough to clean a saw? Would only be used for that and truck tyres etc. Not power tools.

It would be forever refilling or whatever the technical word is. Get as big as you can I'd say, then you can use it for pumping tyres too which is always handy.

The 6lt is actually plenty big enough.

Who cares if it’s refilling all the time? It’s only noise!

 

My little cheapo Sip Airmate T1.5 has done me for 15 years and not missed a beat.

 

Gets the saws clean as a whistle, and easily capable of whacking 60psi into the Transit tyres.

 

25 litre better, obviously.

Any air compressor is better than none. I've always had a 25ltr one and wouldn't be without it.

The good thing about a smaller tank is it fills quicker at start up. I would say definitely don't go above 25lt, smaller will be fine for blowing and pumping tyres. Look at the hp of the compressor more than tank capacity, as this is what actually determines the amount of air available.

Yeah that's fine for cleaning and tyres.

Some of the small tyre compressors are a lot smaller, will do a tyre eventually but no good for blowing etc. They tend to have no tank at all.
