Hahaha, class Toad!

Well done for sorting it Tippin.

You shouldn’t have been put in that situation, but hats off for sorting it.

If I was the courier co I’d be scouring the market now for a tail lift and pump truck that can lift more than a set of IKEA shelves.

Also, why did they say a pallet weighing over 700kg needed two men without any kit?

I’ll have some of their steroids please!

Must be some bloody men!

You don't really need a forklift that would take less than a minute to offload it if you've got 3 hours to feck about getting it on the deck. I've better things to do with my time.

Bollocks Eggs, you’d have had that off in a jiffy with a couple of ratchet straps, a reconditioned submersible pump, a flux capacitor and a couple of lengths of shit pipe.

Possibly, if I had to get it off I'd get it off. I'd rather give someone twenty quid and have done with it mind.

I had a Forst ST8 delivered from the Uk to Norway a couple of years ago.  Paid delivery and haulage and the new my address.  Haulage company called me a day before to let me know delivery time and it would be on a plant trailer.

I live in an area with narrow roads and I explained it to them.  Ok no problem say they.

Next day a Polish delivery driver calls me to say he is stuck and can’t make the bend and has had to reverse and it waiting in a main road.  I go over and the chipper is the last thing on a huge curtain sided trailer for the international haulage.  I asked where is the plant trailer and he said where is my forklift?  I said, in my pocket where do you think...!  It was supposed to be on a plant trailer.

He grumbled a lot and I said I would follow him to the depot, to which he said he wanted more money as it wasn’t in the job to drive back and forth, even though he had to go back there to drop the trailer.  He then asked them for a forklift to lift it out the side.  I made sure he reversed up to the loading bay and push it off by hand.  I wasnt gonna allow them to drop the thing.

He grumbled and moaned loads.

I just told him thanks for bringing it back and if he wanted more money to speak to the haulier...  or do his job in the first place and unload the machine and put it on a plant trailer like I had requested and paid for, instead of being a lazy twat, cutting corners for a early finish.

You have no sense of adventure. I love doing it by myself and working out what to do. They were due to deliver tomorrow at 8am ( so about 4ish) but I’ve got most of it put together now[emoji8]

The 3 hours was basically unpacking it on the truck (which I would have had to do anyway) and laying it out to assemble. Granted it took more time than if it was on the ground but I bet my bottom dollar they would have just unloaded it at the gate and I would have had to shift it round anyway
