tell you what i have a spare set of bashlins light alloy spikes , £100 and they are yours mate , i wasnt going to sell them but hey whats the point in having two sets of spikes

 

i think you have a deal there :D

horses for courses on the Gecko's... I cannot stand them and have tried the ally and CF. really cannot get away with them.

 

Bashlin Alloy's for me with the velcro wrap around pads. :thumbup:

As for short or long gaffs, spikes, arn't short for more sporty ventures,ie: pole climbing, so i believe. I got some new ones today which in the description said long gaffs were more suitable for tree work, short for pole climbing. Buckingham Titainium £200. Are these E-bay spikes new or 2nd hand (leg)? Do not trust used kit.

kliens ....have a chat with lines men or BT boys they sorted me out a couple of pairs,cant stand bashlins though ,geckos for me ...wish i had tried a pair sooner i actually enjoy wearing them unless i put the euro gaffs on!

there are no branches to anchor to, plus if there was, im unsure of the quality of it or the strength t the top, so spikes seem to be the better option, plus its on the edge of a woodland, with persmission from the gamekeeper im allowed to use it. there is no access for a mewp
