If I spelt the title right I'll be damned. I've been speaking to a long time friend over another friend being sickly. He always calls me 'Brother', I always call him 'Cock', not a rude term at all, term of endearment. What are your local sayings for each other?

 

I'm sure it could be made easy by using our real names, but that doesn't happen.

Round here there a few called "Bo" meaning their a bit shy of soap and water cos they haven't time to notice

Any age!! (My MIL always says “....you know that boy *insert name*, lived near *insert location*...”
Usually turns out they’re over 80 therefore older n her!
Reply is usually “ how would I know her ya mardlin’ ol’ mawther!?’

Got a mate often referred to as  T-Rex.

 

Not because he is aggressive but has short arms ( and deep pockets)

 

 

... often gets used jovially when  in a round someone steps back or ducks out.....back in those distant Pre-Covid times. :-)

Yeah, Buh is a well used word around these parts, I'm a foreigner and find myself using it.

I'm definitely in the mind of moving back to the Staffordshire Moorlands, work has picked up here so I'll ponder what my next move is.

 

You must remember when you haven't lived in a pile of bricks for many years over the last thirty-odd things are transient.
