The saw was purchased from Lawnmowers Direct where he had purchased previously. However, as he had little confidence they would offer support or helpful advice, he decided to try to sort the saw himself using his experience and then, when that failed, he turned to this forum for help.

Lawnmowers direct were Bartrum mowers, they now are part of the E Doe group.

I’ve just had similar - will give the ewe another roll of the dice next time to see but her days are probably numbered...

We're not the only ones lambing late then. We run our sheep on rented pasture in surrounding area. Payment usually in kind like pasture management, fencing upkeep and of course the odd bit of tree/hedge work too. Having lots of grass for milking ewes is our main reason in delaying. Commercial sheperds obviously want the spring prices so breed accordingly. We sell meat privately and thinking of trying adding extra value by going into making up meals using the meat too this winter. Single serving portions of sheperds pie kinda thing. Morrisons does them for £1. We'd do it for less

Organic/Grass fed sheep free range etc make a noise as many others do without anything to make noise about!

Decent ingredients used and low/no salt added would sooner pay more than a pound if got a decent sized meal that tasted like a meal instead of rubbery/plastic concoction!

Look into selling direct there are others doing that now also many do on line also use all the means you can find as you want to be the winner!

One thing that works well these days is decent listing of ingredients! ie like Demerara sugar instead of sugar.Sea salt etc as many like me look up whats in something but things like King edward potatoes used is better than just plain potato

Let us know when running or something up for grabs as have friends down your end that would like

What about doing it for more than Morrisons but do it better? Might be better business to compete on quality rather than price.

So a Morrisons microwavable tray is 1cm of mince and 2cm of tatty. We'd do 2cm mince and 2cm tatty. What we're chuntering over is packaging. Costs say tin trays, cardboard tops and sold frozen. Cos we're aiming at tasty local convenience rather than choice cuisine, we've just got to judge if microwaving (4mins) is more popular than oven baking (30mins). Thanks for input. And agreed on your suggestion. No one wants more super value tasteless budget food from a "home" and of course a certain class of customer is always going to go with the reassuringly expensive (Stella) option

I would prefer oven baked rather than micro wave . If you go for tin trays you would not be able to put strait into micro wave .
