At least it's going on our people and not on bombs. People don't seem to gripe about the amount of taxpayer money that goes into the war machine.

Yes, its a worthwhile cause looking after your people. But the masses will soon be getting a first class lesson in Socialistic politics. Lesson one being nothing comes for free. They will enjoy the limited and short lived handouts they will receive and then wonder incredulously at the massive increase in their tax and lowing of their standard of living that will be required to pay it all back. The next austerity imposed by the Tories will be one everyone will have to bend over for and the left will have no one to gnash their teeth at. Actually, they'll still find a way to blame anyone except the Chinese.

We need a war machine, we need to defend ourselves and support our allies. Im happy paying tax for that, Id rather pay tax for that than support a massive underclass of life long bums.

You can still go to work and claim UC. I am.
But I'm looking at 1 days work a week if I'm lucky.

Yes you can, isn't it something along the lines of £95/week, or there abouts?, but you can also get your rent/mortgage interest paid?

Tough times, and 'WE', not them, are all in it together this time.

Thanks for your kind words eggs...hope you get some work soon.good bye.

That pretty much says it all. You are looking at getting your dirty, grubby hands on money that you aren't entitled to, you've carried on working (which is fine), yet you think you should benefit from this virus when, up to now hasn't affected you. No better than a benefit scrounger.

some folk have no shame.

I've, and I'm sure a lot of others about this parish have ducked n dived over the years, but don't come around cap in hand when you think you can lay your hands on a few quid of (not so) free hand outs, we are all going to have to pay this money back. Short sighted?
