some tree-IDs please

I was walking by the river for the first time since last month's floods and found these two trees washed down the valley and dropped on land I have permission to cut; any ideas what they are?

It's been a while since I stuck my head above the parapet on IDs and got it knocked off so...  1) looks like a pear tree, maybe hawthorn.  2) = ash.
