Not a patch on real ones, but filled a hole!

 

Casserole didn’t look great but was bloody lovely.

Kids cleaned their plates as well.

Our local does very similar, but infused with chilli oil.

I do like those olives stuffed with anchovies, it has just reminded me I have a few left in the fridge.

 

Nope they got eaten, it's the ones stuffed with Jalapeno that's left, just as good.

That's the weird thing, they don't really taste very fishy at all, nothing like anchovies by themselves. Just a very savoury, olivey flavour.

Honestly, worth a try if you've not done so before. That brand is is particularly smooth.

No, they're average kinda size but pack a big punch!

 

I'm lusting after those olive stalls that you get in French markets now. They have big dobber ones, (Queen Olives), infused in all sorts of nice things like lemon, thyme, chilli ........
