Got a little fish smoker i used to use for trout, worked quite well,i used to use oak sawdust
Yeah I got one of them too. It comes out a couple of times over the summer most years. Any fresh fish is great cooked in there. I've always thought trout to be the best though. Mackerel is probably second best.

I think this book is aiming for a slightly higher level of culinary smoking; I might have to build myself a Smoke Shack!

Pretty much anything bar smoked fish! Thats just vile! 🤢🤢🤮
You ought to give fresh smoked trout a go. Possibly even better cold later on rather than straight from the fire.

Tasty bit of fish for dinner last night; a giant Gurnard. Simple baked and served with boiled tatoes and fried cabbage. Bloody lovely.

Frying cabbage is the way. Same with sprouts. Par boil then fry in butter and garlic.

Spot on. I've always fried cabbage but only recently thought to do the same with sprouts. If you want to be really decadent you can fry them with finely diced chorizo.

At times, some of my efforts could get a billing on Rate My Plate! Some of the comments on that page have me crying!
