Was wondering if people have any hard and fast rules when mixing their 2-stroke fuel. Do you always put the oil in first (or last), do you shake the can to mix the oil into the petrol? I put the oil in first, it's like an admission fee that has to be paid before the petrol can go in...

Oil in first then the Petrol/Aspen or whatever . The poring in helps the mix . A quick shake prior to every fill up is what I do .

Oil first and swill the cup or one-shot with petrol to make sure the full measure of oil goes in and the mix isn't weak. And like Stubby, shake before filling a machine.

Oil in first then fuel! Quick suck up of fuel into the one shot and jobs a good in. Mixing is easy charge down the park with the quad and over the ant hills and the fuels not the only thing shook up.

I’m Guessing that most people here using combi cans .been having trouble recently with the husqvarna ones and the fuel spilling out all over the floor and my hands.

any one had similar problems ? In future I think I’ll just go back to aspen cans

Husky combi cans are crap.
They leak within 3-4 months.
We've all made that mistake.
Just bite the bullet and get a stihl one with anti spill spouts.
I've had mine 4 years.

The husqvarna cans are brilliant... for about 6 months, then the quick fill spouts seize and the seal perishes. The green topped ones were better but someone ran over mine and I stupidly binned it with one working spout on which with hindsight I could have saved.
