Hi all. Being a family firm & showing no signs of being affected we called todays customers who were happy for us to carry out the jobs as we wouldn't need face to face contact & are working at the ends of their gardens.. Obviously there is little traffic about & the saws/chipper sound has attracted attention & a few people have taken pics on their phones so rather than have bad publicity I think we'll shut shop & hope the guidelines come soon for the self employed to access the govt's contribution during this outbreak.

Our domestic work is drying up, this is going to be the case for the rest of this year I believe. We are fortunate to have a good amount of highways structures work. On the A19 in North Yorkshire today I hope you all survive this and come out the other end in a good position. JC [emoji106][emoji269]

Kriss it’s been closed for over a month, it between Chapel Haddlesey and Eggborough power station. We felled a km of trees in a day and are now chipping it for biomass. It’s a very busy road normally and the detour is a long one.

That’s exactly why we are not out working, takes years to build a successful business but seconds to destroy it on social media. Oh and the fact we’re not key workers, just because we can’t work from home doesn’t mean we can go to work as many people believe, why put family and other people at risk for the sake of 3 weeks.

Well I’m working today, I see absolutely no reason how I can possibly be a risk to anyone as working entirely on my own an miles from anywhere. Unless the government is happy to pay me instead to cover the bills, until have point I will do all of my no risk jobs I have lined up. I wouldn’t work in  any kind of built up area, even a garden, not worth it.

Clearly you are ok there I’d say but we do domestic work mainly with a lot of nosey people about, phones at the ready ?
