personally i think that stihl are putting prices up because they can - simple as that , there is no reason behind it what so ever it simply because they have the majority share of the market and feel they can charge what they like , if you take into account the rate of inflation and poste anual proffits stihl have made then you will see my point .

 

Secondly the reason that cut off saws have not gone up is simply because of several large hire companys that will only buy cut off saws from stihl - take brandon hire for instance our local hire center , they have over 30 cut off saws out on hire and before christmas they had a stack of cut off saws in the shop - probably 25 of them and they all sold within a month .

Sorry to give you the Bad new Husky went up today:thumbdown:

 

Also Silky are due to go up again and they went up 15% end of last year.

 

I'm re-doing our price list at the moment so it should change tonight, its not to bad just a few pound here and there.:001_smile:
