Seen one Kestrel and one Sparrow Hawk , they used to be plentiful . buzzards and Kites are like confetti round here . Not seen the Hen Harrier for a few years .  We do see the Peregrines or their off spring from the Chichester cathedral bell tower come inland to find territory of their own .

Very nice. Saying that I saw a Kestrel this morning flying overhead having just come out of a hole in a tree, probably nesting I would guess. I am sure we have more round here, but most of the time its the buzzards that are seen or the odd kite. Great birds.

Was my fault. Still sweating from work, opened hive too quick and should have shut it when i saw they werent happy. African types too  :/ k

ooh feisty ones! I remember as a kid picking bark off a dead tree only to then see what seemed like a sudden swarm of flies above. It was only until I got stung all over, I realised it was wasps. One of them landed in my hair, a friend tried to get it off, it stung me 3 times on the head. Not sure if I ever recovered from that. LOL!

Wisteria in bloom on the east facing house wall, then showing the lack of blossoms on the back north facing wall of the house. Always about 7 days difference in blooming. Beautiful when it's all out. Pollen is always a problem as it drops straight down onto the window ledges.
