Lock Down?

When I was P.A.Y.E I was having to pay in over £3000 a year in N.I. I now pay £2.60 a week. [emoji3] In my eyes its only right that PAYE are looked after, they get shafted every which way normally. 
 

Double it nowadays, and that’s for a part time job.

Am I the only one who thinks all this is total scaremongering, and more to the point, nothing to be worried about?
I for one will not be going into lockdown, and I was told today they are bringing in the army to make sure everyone does self isolate, but who is self isolating the army?

Without going into detail I can assure you this ain’t a nasty version of flu. I’ve seen people coming in overnight in a bad way and dead by the following morning.
Please take this very seriously, and don’t be the unnecessary cause of either taking up a bed or infecting others.
Remember too that you’re infectious prior to being symptomatic.[emoji15]

I haven’t fully digested it yet, but gov measures to avoid companies laying off employees appears, on face value, to be comprehensive and far reaching. Certainly unprecedented.

Well I messed up today. Decided to follow government advice and go outside to exercise. Did a lap of Blencathra via Sharp Edge and Halls Fell Ridge. Cracking day. But it was really busy, lots of people out. Seemed to me they were mostly plague infected Cockneys coming to their second homes in the Lakes. On the way back to the car I thought about popping into the White Horse, but decided to get home only to find that now all pubs are closing. Should lock London down to stop the rats running away spreading the plague, thereby allowing pubs to remain open elsewhere. The answer to this plague is the same as it was in 1666: Get London burnt.
 
 

White Horse at Scales [emoji108] top eatery, i’m meant to be going windermere/troutbeck to stay in a lodge, pub on site etc which i wanted for the dog etc, chuffing Boris!!! Hes royal’y F*~^ed that for everyone/me now aint he, what a [emoji215] he should of done regional to start with like ya say... starting in London!!! If the Government is hinting at paying 2/3rds of a wage to those who are locked down at home, it’s hardly an incentive to go and stack supermarket shelves or freeze your knackers off for a minimum wage in a field.
The other problem is the debt that’ll need to be settled in a couple of years.

Agreed, but someone is gonna have to do it and JSA ‘requires’ one to be available for work from my limited understanding of it. 
 

Looks like there may be more jobs to be done than there are people willing to do them. 
 

Maybe potential for a National Service Land Army?

Dan , you still not worried ?  death toll for the UK is 145 so far and its not peaked yet . Local farmer near me has been self isolating for 2 weeks now . my son caught site of him today and said he looked like a zombie . walking dead .
