Any use for Cladding? I see back in the 1500's to the 1700's Scotland was importing Scots Pine from Norway for Exterior Cladding. Id potentially go the shou sugi ban route for preserving if it was viable on Scots Pine?

Hi that log deck looks cool I think I might need to build myself one .



I wanted it as I only get to borrow the Telihandler once in a while. But now all my big logs are up on the Deck. And as the ground slopes down toward where the mill will sit the rear of the deck is quite low to the ground so lifting up the logs I have stacked behind will be a doddle.

No experience of shou sugi but I dont see why not
