must admit premier inn beds are rather comfy.

3 damaged discs in back which affects me lots, often week off in pain or heavy painkiller use so well used to how bad it can be.

premier inn beds do seem to provide rather a nice sleep,  ok coupled with insomnia i am a bad sleeper so a beer then bed works well.

A friend of mine has the premier inn Hypnos mattress raves about it

I bought my current mattress on the back of a night in the Carlisle Travelodge!   Also Hypnos.  It's good but not as good as the Travelodge one which was the hardest mattress I've ever slept on.

Oddly, I kept the mattress Dad had whilst he was in care, and all they are are a diced foam layer which lowers bed sores risk, now I never sleep as well as on that mattress. K

At least I’m not the only suffering ?

I have tried lying down like a tool in the middle of shop for 20 seconds to see if a mattres is comfy, it’s the pita pesty salesman that wind me up, I tell them the second I’m in, I’ll give YOU a shout if I need them, they can’t stop themselves with their sales shite so I just walk off.

Steve I’ll try the ergo flex first.

nepia I do a lot less physical work now.  I don’t think the cold helps in winter.

A point I forgot to mention is that my back is much worse now that I'm a machine operator mainly. Having the back held in an unnatural position for 8-12hrs a day is just not good.
