Time For A New Knife

Been looking at getting a new knife and finally decided of this,it’s a Gerbera with a little sharpener and a new leather pouch,like to have a decent quality knife on my belt at all times.

Had looked at a few over last couple of months saw this and loved to weight and feel if it and it’s top quality engineering and none of the other knifes I looked at supplied a little sharpener...quite smart.

Don't really know enough aboat knifes  to understand why some are £100's and others  a under  tenner etc.

Looks like a nice knife, I do like a knife with lugs to open the blade one handed/either hand. I bought a Civilware knife, hand made in the states, not cheap but the blade and build quality are second to none. They do series of designs, both fixed and folding.

Nice knife Shires...And Whitby are the "Ace of blades" as they say Gary.I used to have a Whitby similar if not the same as the Currey Captain lockspike with Fid.Same as in this picture.

That brings back memories Paul, my Dad had one of those.

Must be more than 40 years back.

I like my Buck Redpoint, which is a nice small locker with easy one hand opening.

 

Can never have too many knives!

 

I’m with Stere, though.

I won’t spend hundreds when there are so many great knives for tens.

Indeed Mr Bolam...That Knife is around £40 I think......How much was the Gerbera Shires? I like the cut out design [emoji1015]
