Air compressor recommendations

Can anyone recommend an air compressor for cleaning chainsaws. Not something I've bought before so not sure what sort of output/ pressure is needed. I've been told about TMax portable units from 4x4 friends for tyres but not sure if you need a large capacity tank so there's a constant pressure. I don't want to wait for the pressure to build up after ever blast. Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers

i used an aldi/lidl special for many years. 25 litre tank was ok but if you wanted to run other stuff off it its boring for refill.

went to a 50l from sealey and its better. work uses a 100l and its good.

so space, use and budget really are what seperate them.

belt drive larger ones are much quieter, so neighbours may also be issue compared to direct drive.

I have a Draper 50 litre similar size, would be ideal unless you want to run high capacity air tools, this will run air sander, spray gun and die grinder (But not at the same time), also use it for pressure pot when casting resin. Easy to maintain and drain, a little noisy but is small enough to be portable and was under £100

Anything is better than nothing. I am running a cheapo one but it has been going for well over a year so no complaints for £45!

I would go for a brushless motor and spend £100 or under as if it fails, it won't stop your work. My brushed motor one lasted a year and that was it, this brushless oiled motor is working better and has lasted longer being used every day.

ive got an aldi 25l one, seems fine for cleaning the saws,  the motor runs quite a lot when doing the saws  and is very noisy, not sure if more expensive ones are quieter, still for €75 its great

got a nail gun and spray gun for it too but havent used them so much yet.

I have a 25l generic one, I found it noisy in my workshop, I use mine mostly with a small Brad nailer. I ended up enclosing it under my bench in a simple cabinet, I then lined the cabinet with an off cut of carpet, made a big difference to the noise level. You can still hear it but it is not annoying.
