Planting replacement mature tree

Hi Folks its great to be back on the system, I was originally elicokiz but had ventured into other realms of employment until late.

I have been asked to provide costs for the replacement of a mature tree including its sourcing and planting, as usual I have overcomplicated my research into this; is anyone able to give me a rough estimate of what sort of price I should be looking at?

any replies would be greatly appreciated.

kindest regards :D

hard to say really, i would say it could take around half a day for one man if you have to get the tree and stakes, tree tie etc, then plant.

to many variables to put a figure on it id say.

getting a price on the tree should be easy enough once you know size species etc.

I now ask the client for a budget then provide options for planting. Too many times I have wasted time pricing up a planting jobs  to the clients spec, only for it to be way more then they are willng to pay.

I’m now going to start this, as people seem to think trees and hedging are cheap.

In reply to the OP I’d get a budget off your client to save wasted time.
