I made a version of those quick grips. Still struggling to build up enough force to connect. My conclusion that relieving the pressure, as opposed to fighting the pressure, is the way forward.

Made up a backing plate with multiple bolt squares on it, so we can use attachments either with digger bracket or Sherpa bracket. Four bolts with the impact gun is a small price to pay to save having

HOLDING the aux lever into the one or other direction depending on the line you work on should make the connector slip on easy 🤔. 

Holding the lever is the key.
