The  conservative party fought their election in Scotland on Leave the EU and no Indref 2 .......i think losing 7 seats and their share  % of the votes, would send a clear message to the dimmest of west minister politicans that a mandate has been reached and its just a matter of when Indref2 will happen. If u dont like it you can always vote no on the ballot paper.BEFD30D4-AABF-4AB5-963D-8D1508EA350F.thumb.jpeg.ed5dbc302925c8993c34918ad7697979.jpeg

Exactly.

In my early years, I was very left, but have moved much more to the centre ground in the past 10 years. Negotiating with some investors the other day, I am reminded that I am a very long way from being a Tory. I have no personal issue with generating wealth for myself (which I should add, I haven't yet) but I won't do it at someone else's expense.

Politics is what you make of it. Once you define yourself by your party, swallowing their rhetoric verbatim, you disengage your brain and your credibility. All the parties have at least a few good policies. Some just have more than others.

With the Tory party now having to account to noone, we're in for a grim 5 years. I only wish that labour could have ditched Corbyn et al years ago so as to offer a robust and meaningful oppositi

Anyway, it seems to me that Boris will never ok another referendum in his tenure.

If he last the whole 5 years the world could be a very different place.

Certainly not for the better either.

I worry about the willingness people seem to have to accept disingenuous, lying egotists if they feel that it serves their agenda. Trump in the US, Boris in the UK. I'm also extremely concerned with the disinclination of leading candidates to subject themselves to substantive scrutiny, both in terms of their proposed policy and track record.

Whilst Corbyn was not a good choice, but he's positively delightful compared to Boris and his cronies.

Speculation and nothing more than your own opinions J. Corbyn was subjected to the same level of scrutiny as Boris and the election results say all there is to say on that matter. I know you have this left of centre at times extreme right wing mish  mash of political leanings but as a nation that whole concept and that of Corbyns socialist utopia was soundly rejected. I hope you are wrong ref the not for the better quote, being tied to the EU corporate employment agency is not the answer to all the problems this country has.. At the end of the day unlike the unelected and unaccountable officials that run the EU, if as you speculate Boris and co make a mess of it J you can down the line vote them out.

PS

i do wonder J if in say 5 years time this whole Brexit concept has proven to work and work well what will be the outcome for the EU ??, that’s just a non politically aligned thought nothing more.

This is coming from the man who (I think) voted Lib Dem who wanted to unilaterally bin the result of the referendum thus sticking 2 fingers up at 17M people.

The dominoes might have started to fall already:
