reusable break away strop

Anyone remember this having been discussed before (maybe 2 or 3 years ago) as i cannot find the thread. It was discussed at length,  basically some of us use a remote main line tied into a solid tree whilst standing on spikes and stropped around a dodgy / decayed  stem that may fail so a break away strop is required. A few chunky cable ties can be used as they are 'the weakest link in the chain' so to speak but a reusable / re-settable device would be ideal.  What say ye?

Sounds better than what I use (karabiner through belt loop).

doesnt sound like an ideal set up, how much of a swing is there to the main anchor point?

you say you want the weaklink to be re settable.... how many times do you think the tree is going to disintergrate during the dismantle!!!!?

could you set a line between two trees to get you directly above the dodgy tree?
