The chainsaw lanyard getting tangled is the reason I bought my sawpod, really like it. You can occasionally get a climbing line wrapped but far less hassle overall.

I think with the silky hanging it's always easy to get out but not always easy to put back, depending on which way you are hanging. Sawpod always in the same place, definitely recommend.

Thats the great thing, you always know exactly where it is without even needing to look.

I made a video several years ago now of the Sawpod in use. Actually sawpod held a contest here for the video, with one of their fleeces being the prize.

My video won *

* It was the only entry but we won't dwell on that

Didn't get on with mine, used to rotate round and stick into the back of my knee, would get in the way and was another thing to faff around with putting on before you start climbing. Plus you look like a bender mincing around site with a saw strapped to your leg.

I keep my silky clipped to the leg loop of my harness now, but it doesn't get used much.

Worked with a guy who did that. Even went in the pub with it one day.....I believe he thought it made him look cool. Did try to explain to him that he could probably be arrested for that. The guy wasn't cut out for life really ?

Yup, they walk amongst us.

Mate sent me a photo of one of the subbys walking into a co-OP complete with protos and foot ascender!
