Did you spot that Arborisk no longer offer "new for old" on saws etc?

This lead me to taking my business elsewhere.

Our insurer did that last year, they also said that they could not split the PI/EL from our equipment. Changed their mind later and we have new for old from NFU which was cheaper.

We use a broker for the insurance, a combined policy for the marquee hire (summer) and forestry (winter) parts of our work.

Saves all the mucking about for quotes, they do all the legwork finding the best policy, and deal with claims for you also.

Company we use is Marsh Commercial, formerly Jelf (recent takeover). They got us cover through Aviva.

Arborisk are a broker, I was with Aviva via them, is your saw cover new for old?

I left my tools cover with Trust at renewal which was just as this crisis took hold. I didnt want to hang around trying to get quotes and its new for old..

Pl and el with Arborisk, were far cheaper than trust and cant see what they dont offer in comparison to Trust on this type of policy.

Think so, all the stock is insured at replacement value. So cost price for the marquees tools etc.

I'll find out soon as spoke to the broker today as renewal is end of April.

Hi all. Just a quick heads up.

Ive just called Trust too add on another machine to my tools insurance. My Liability insurances are via Arbrisk and I split the policies.

Trust's underwriters wont, going forward allow this as apparently those who have their liability insurances with them, and their tools are massively less likely to be robbed!! Go figure !! Theives obviously check who we are insured with.
