I was in Cheffins last week, some good machines going through. I nicked a 58 plate transit for £450 plus buyers premium. The lad I went with was buying tractors for export. There was plenty of decent tractors going through that he thought were average money.

Thanks all. GIven me a few more places to check.  Yep, buying without seeing makes me nervous, but I think I'd rather get the right machine with that risk than the wrong machine local.

Valtra 6350 a good machine?  There are two for sale with loads of hours but for about the right price:

People go there for a day out I've heard.

I wouldn't go there looking for a tractor unless you know absolutely what you are looking at, and the values of the machines you are looking at. Too easy to get your fingers burnt! I can't say I've seen many valtras there either, but obviously different every month.

Its not a bad day out though and you can get good buys on the implements and odds and sods bits- I got a big pile of barriers for not much more than I paid for 1 new one last time I went.

RJ&KD McLean list everything they have on Mascus I believe. However if they're local to you then they would be worth contacting.

Not local at all unfortunately.  But tbh I'm not expecting to find what I need super local.

Look on Youtube and look at what some of the lads in Ireland say about hours on Valtra's

I think those lads in Ireland are saying good things, right?  This is all I came up with on a quick google...
