He was in contempt because he admitted he broke reporting restrictions putting at risk the gangs right to a fair trial. That could have resulted in them getting away with their crimes.

 

Personally I'd prefer to see the gang prosecuted and gaoled rather than go free because someone who claims to be acting in the public interest in 'outing' the defendents ensures they get away with their crimes.

You know, the more I think of it the more certain I am..  I clearly remember him explaining he never admitted to contempt..  he was bounced into court given the charges he faced and jailed on the spot..   a kangaroo court if ever there was one..

 

The media was told he admitted to contempt and like the lickspickles they are reported without investigation...  just as you are repeating their shoddy work..

Only because I can't be arsed finding the footage..   it would make sense considering he was later released on appeal..   

 

and the judge who jailed him was roundly condemned at the appeal.. be interested to see if he's still working..
