Ah . Missed that . Sorry . then probably not so readily avaliable .

I googled it as I couldn't believe it could be that expensive for one piece of glass. The whole stove is £1300 so near a 1/3 the cost just for the glass. I would be livid

Yea I know . I once bought a Honda Fireblade ( year 2000 ) and it was around 10K . If I bought all the parts separatly  and assembled it myself it would have bee around 35K .

I see that in this link Stoves Direct are offering glass replacement accidental damage insurance, £14.99 for 2 years cover, I suppose that with it costing so much it may be worth it.

Measure your glass dimensions and thickness and get one ( or two ) cut . There are people who will make ceramic stove glass to order for much less than that .

4412 is a curved glass,  as such only available from Morso.  All curved glass is horrifically costly. I usually advise clients to cover it in their household insurance.   Been a major Morso dealer since 2009,  only bought one curved glass of any type,  that was one we broke during an install !!.

Same as if you built an MS200T from parts or probably anything else. I guess it is the distribution costs, elevated margin etc etc......

That's why scrap yards ( cars ) make a good living .
