Sad to see this sort of thing. 

Saying that, if it wasn’t the other end of the country I’d have a few bids at work benches/racking etc, some decent lots there.

Don’t forget to add 18% commission then 20% vat then the cost of collecting from Tavistock before getting too excited about any perceived bargains...

That doesn’t make it look like a cheap deal when you add on another 38% [emoji44] it’s the same up here when you go to a sale people get caught up in the bidding and pay silly money for things. Trailers are making nearly new prices

Sad, the factory is very local to me and they’ve been trading under various names since 60s I think. Mayflower then Fairey and then bought out by superwinch. Quite proud to have an H14 on my Landy that has made in Tavistock stamped into it.

I did not know that. Mayflower was the first winch on the series 2 I cam across, the capstan one but they also did one driven off the centre PTO, a drum winch.

 

I only ever got to own the Fairey free wheeling hubs.
