Khriss the whole world and his wife knows that Husky's have got a 12 month pro user warranty.

Didn't you take it up with Husqvarna?

Mate. It baffled me. When dealer is bullshitting you I gave up. E. DOES of Essex certainly do not think Husqvarna have a 12 month Pro warranty. K

Is it the customer or the dealer who first registers the saw?

Used to be the customer but now it's the dealer.

Just out of interest Mark, what does a dealer service provide?

As you well know I’m about to press the button on a new 550xpg mk2, and the opportunity of doubling the warranty is obviously very appealing.

It's basically a strip down of the saw, clean and inspect for wear/damaged/loose or missing parts, check the av, safety mechanisms and features, clean the tanks and filters, sharpen the chain and dress the bar, adjust the carb of need be plus a few other things. We don't replace any items unless they need it so we only charge £36 Inc vat.

A lot of the time though people bring in a fecked machine asking for a service when what it usually needs is repairing.

As a side note the xpg should be in stock with husky the 22nd of this month.

You should be taking this up with trading standards, you are eligible for repairs under the consumer rights act or the sale of goods act.

interestingly the Consumer Rights Act superseded the Sale of Goods Act for sales by businesses to consumers.  Business to business sales aren't covered under the Consumer Rights Act but I think they are still covered under the Sale of Goods Act
