My ha'penny worth in this is,  air density is the important matter , not temperature, so colder ( denser ) air does need MORE fuel mix, problys wot the lil sensor is reading back to the chip. I did get a new Husqvarna 560 xpg few years back and it blew within 5months arb use, dealer said only 3 months warranty on it. Bought new barrel n piston, blew after two weeks. Useless. K

Khriss the whole world and his wife knows that Husky's have got a 12 month pro user warranty.

Didn't you take it up with Husqvarna?

My dealer gives me two years pro use because I buy and use the Husky pre mixed fuel off him, I have only had one of my 550’s develop a problem since they where manufactured, it had been thrashed to death at that point though.

Echo, in that case you will not be buying anything new then as everyone has "small print" …..

I would have thought you would have loaned out an old saw as you had already said you had concerns about your new saw ? so why take the chance ? hence my comment about your 041.

I'm glad I can help !!

I had the echo running spot on, if it was not I would not trust it to another, and also my reason for posting regarding its sudden change of tune when it came back, I used it for a few hours yesterday and it was once again spot on.

I think it closed source code, don't know anyone that has unraveled it, and I never said they measured engine temperature, and as Stubby pointed out, there is no thermocoupler, so they must use magic.

I think the official term is electrotrickery. :)

Whatever it is it works quite well, it's usually other components that fail.

That's a bit poor. It's 12 months on all machines 24 months if you register it and have it serviced at least within the first 12 months. Doesn't matter who the dealer is as it's husky who provide the warranty.

It's sounds like yours may have failed on the clutch side bearing which is a warranty issue. Unless you didn't bother to put two stroke in it. ?

Is it the customer or the dealer who first registers the saw?

Just out of interest Mark, what does a dealer service provide?

As you well know I’m about to press the button on a new 550xpg mk2, and the opportunity of doubling the warranty is obviously very appealing.
