Might have to mill that log another day.
Got to finish the walnut at the yard tomorrow.
And I’ve a little video I’ll be releasing first on arbtalk after midnight on Friday night.

Bit of Oak today that was in reality  nothing more than firewood. Whole tree came down locally, milled some of branches today but the main trunk will have to be an Alaskan job. Telehandler that moved it registered 4ton on the weighload so a bit much for the ifor and the 130.

That trailer looks interesting has it got a log arch?

Hi All

Just  wondering if anyone is sitting on any long 880 bars/chains and a matching Alaskan set up that they might be thinking of parting with.  I’m currently running a 42inch sugi bar in a 36inch mill. Got a couple  of nice Elm to mill  that will require a bigger set up.
Cheers

Yeah

Runs off a 12v hyd pump and a skip rescued Warne winch, not perfect but it will lift more than I can handle on 130. Had it down at Andy’s recently to load some decent bits of Oak up. Hi Ab was what I really wanted but that’s what I could justify lol.

It worked great! Made light work of loading that larger log. Sure saved rolling the whole log pile to get to that one! [emoji16]

Looks spot on and well made. Why did you go hydrolic instead of using the winch to power the arch like Matt cremona dose on YouTube.

Just to maintain a finer level of control really.
