A question for all you tree climbers, is there any mileage having heated handles, or trio brake on a top handle saw?

Are they both available Andrew ?  Never tried " trio brake " and its never appealed to me  but heated handles could be good .

I’d love heated handles on a topper... stuck up a tree with chilblains in snow and ice whilst watching your ground guys warming there hands over the chipper exhaust ! Only thing is if they are the same as the ones I’ve had on my 50’s and 60’s you have to rev them hard to get the temps up.

I have asked Husky and Stihl about the possibility of putting heated handles on a topper and they both told me there was no call for it.

Calling me a puff, basically.

The ones on my 560 get too hot to hold without gloves really quickly mate.

Pretty sure they would on tickover.

I’ll have to test that out.

Mine only get hot .. like red hot when flat out ... usually unless I’m hand balling frozen branches out the way I’ll turn it off after 5 minutes!

Aye the 361 only gets hot if your logging stuff really. And then it's too hot without gloves. Still good though.

If the option was there I’d have it.  I bought my first heated handled 261 a couple of years ago, every saw from now on that has the option will be purchased.
