Flu...

Had it a few years back, the temperature went that high I wanted to take my eyes out and put them in iced water! The only time I felt ok was in bed with the heated blanket on full. Aches all over, over a week of feeling weak....see what I did?.

I then finished it with a terrible cough and knocked the back out for two weeks before I sorted my core out?

Had it for the first time last year. In 30 years only had one day off work sick (bar planned sick leave for surgery). Needed to take 3 days off with the influenza.

Have not had it for years but reluctantly had the flu jab this year as my dads having chemo and we work together , convinced the jab gave me very mild symptoms.

Had it once when I was about 25 and it was horrendous.  Barely got out of bed for a week and I was properly out of action for 2 altogether.  That’s one of my pet peeves, people describing their pathetic little colds as the flu

We used to go camping at Foollow, Brosterfield farm many years ago. I had a flu jab this year, first time I had one. I got it a couple of years ago and it knocked me off my feet. I had TB about 30 years ago and if flu gets to my chest it makes me wheeze like an old bellows. The chemist said the jab would not give any flu symptoms but I had a runny nose for days after.

You can get mild flu ax for 48 hours afterwards. It is a live virus. I’ve had one annually for 20 years never a problem

It is 'good' to see I am not alone with my awfull experience with flu.

Yes, it has always pissed me off when people take time off with a cold claiming it to be flu.

I'm back working but only half days.

Every boss I ever had prophesied that was all I was good for...
