1 ARM PULL UPS

I was thinking today how useful it would be to be able to perform x1 single arm pull up for tree work for those awkward positions you can't get high enough to get both hands round a stem or whatever.

 

There was a time I could do 16 wide grip pull ups so I would bet I could have done x1 single arm pull up at that point in my life.

 

Anyone capable? If so, how useful do you find it?

Well if he wants to UP his rep slapping a pensioner then bring it on . I been there .

I don't think I've ever felt the need to do a pull up in tree, never mind a one handed pull up. Normally you climb the ropes, not the tree.

I can do then as long as my free hand is bracing my wrist, but I'm guessing that doesn't count. 

 

My elbows have been battered enough anyway, I'd rather just chuck my rope up.

 

At the risk of sounding snarky, if you're having to use that much brute force, you're working too hard and not efficient enough. Look for easier ways (not to be confused with lazy shortcuts) and practice them until its easy.

 Bollocks. Climb the tree when you can if its easier.
