Bit of artificial grass - if you like that sort of thing

Plastic grass, all I'll say is take your shoes and socks off and walk on it.. then walk on proper grass, massive difference and much nicer with real grass.

There might be a place for it if the outdoor space is the size of a stamp but if it is a family house - like many of the photos - then I have to be convinced it is an improvement

I don't agree, we had a real lawn for years, no matter how much I tried it had moss and muddy spots, the kids couldn't play on it if it had been wet, they wore patches away from playing football. Real grass is a pain if you have kids and want to use the space all year round. Our lawn now gets loads of use, feels fine under foot or to lie on. IMG_1654181070.282305.jpg

A agree that it should be banned  apart for use on all weather sports pitches etc.

Local garden centre now seems it is about  50% plastic garden crap/nik naks solar laterns etc, 20% weedkillers/ chemicals, and about 30% negelected plants.

Most of  the the garden tools are poor quality  disposable   stuff that won't last 5 mins (apart from  the odd exception like the promotional felco scecateurs stand etc)

I think alot people just don't like nature as its  has a tendency to  be "untidy". One tiny brown spot on an otherwise prefectly healthly plant and they  are having  a panic attack, and wanting to buy  chemicals /products marketed at them to  to fix it. hence the huge array of questionable garden products.

Can see why plastic grass and matching plastic plants offers them a perfect solution.

Horrible reflection on  societal values.

You wanna get out more if you think artificial grass is so bad.....come on if someone wants it in their garden good for them.[emoji23]🤦🏻‍♂️

A mossy lawn is a thousand times comfier than a monoculture lawn, and anyone who disagrees is shit at parallel parking.

You sir are wrong......and I can parallel park just fine.....[emoji6]

Interestingly one of my customers has just ripped up a couple of hundred square metres of not a cheap plastic grass he put down a couple of years ago as he's kids hated playing on it because it just didn't feel like real grass.
