SRT Qualified?

Srt is definitely the way forward. I’m a self taught srt climber. Mainly from what I’ve read about and watched from the pioneers of srt. I’ve been climbing srt for about 6 years now on and off, switching between ddrt. I find it compliments my climbing style far more than ddrt. At first I used to always revert to ddrt because i thought that srt was only useful on big trees needing easier access, but Once I got my head around it and worked it out it’s actually pretty simple with loads more possibilities of working a tree. If the colleges started training srt as a bonifide way to climb the lads coming through wouldn’t need to worry about learning the new techniques they would already have the ability to switch to any scenario while prolonging their climbing career. I personally try to encourage my lads to try it and use different methods.

Been climbing SRT for about  a year. Learned from Lawrence Schultz's videos and other Youtube vids.

I’ve used SRT techniques since going to the states in 2001 to work and rock climb. Most aid (rock climbers) climbers see it as second nature.

That means you have to be twice as hard to climb srt then...

The revised 'Guide to Good Climbing Practice', more focused on access and descent techniques, will include SRT, based on Ben and Noddy's work, and should be available first quarter next year.

Buddy-taught by the great P. POYNTER ! A good way to climb but Definately different -with different hazards to DRT, it Does need a seperate unit under NPTC. Having it may weed out the shit climbers who got passed by reaching the crown break an doing their five cuts and underpants change over...... K

As yet there is no known antidote for death .  When it comes everyone will be on SRT no worries ?
