Have you ever bought any stove accessories/added extras

Recommended Posts

There are a number of accessories and added extras available for woodburning and multifuel stoves such as:-

Stove Fire Screens
Stove Benches
Stove Fans
Stove Hot Plate

Have you tried any of these or anything else - if so how did you find them?

I wonder if we will see innovation in this area in the future?

Got 2 log Burners ,stove fan on one but not the other. Small log burner 4kw needs the help but my 14kw does not, and I think the fans are limited to the heat they can handle anyway, even my small burner has taken the black paint off the fan at the base. Would defo recommend for small burners.

stove fan on each stove.  a cheapo valiant rip off, and an actual valiant.  the ripoff seems marginally better.  both throw a decent draught and i think help to warm the room more quickly.

Flue thermometer on each stove, cheapo ones, they are a guide...and occasionally useful although mostly you can tell from looking..mostly but not quite always.

companion set and log store (see my photo in the stove photo thread...it is both)  that wasn't cheap!

welding gauntlets/gloves to load the stove

Kneeling pads....I have hard floors, so need those!

Zero accoutrements,

well' cept a bare-bones poker, standard pressed steel shovel and brush,

the logbox is a strong cardboard supermarket fruit box, a perfect fit and easy carried when loaded with logs.

Fans are more psycological than physicalogical.

Thermometers are not needed.

Keep it simple folks.

We've got two stove fans and they definitely make a difference to the heat distribution on the two stoves we use them on.

They speed up the warming of the rooms and make the temps much more even all around the room.

Incidentally, one is a 'proper' Caframo Eco fan, the other a Chinese 'cheapy' - they both perform as well as each other.
