I'm not very good with pumps

In July I was called to go and look at a faulty pump got there and the pump was burnt out, not a problem thought I, replaced it with new and have been back to it four times, on the last occasion I swapped the pump for a new one. The customer just rang to tell me it's failed again. How's your luck?

Something is in play here causing the pump failure, clearly.

Did you thoroughly check the Kletteneister valves in the infeed system, and rule out a blockage in the Thelwell diaphragm in the auxiliary overcharge outflow pipe?

Are you multi skilled Mark, I thought you only knew about tree killing

Of course I checked those things, what do you think I am stupid? There  is nothing to be in play. It's a domestic plug n play pump with a NRV in the pipework. I'm puzzled and so are the company that I get my pumps from.

Ooh, controversial thinking there, opened up a can of worms Mark. But I’m afraid your info is misleading. Kletteneister went into administration in 2004 following a massive lawsuit after ‘allegedly’ a number of people became a cropper having used the pumps irresponsibly.

Needless to say, they havnt  fitted the bronze cross splined valves to pumps for years. You may be onto something with the Diapram issue though, common problem with the XP class pumps. By the way though, it’s spelt FellWell.

hope that clarifies the issue Eggs?
