I often wonder why there aren't more units like yours about? So much easier and cost effective than smaller trucks with no payload and the crane makes loading tools and timber a doddle! Top marks Pete.....

Maybe because it won't fit in peoples drives. I know that a unit like that would be no good for my customers property's.

You know your customer base Hodge, but I do mostly domestic work and it gets up lots of driveways. On the rare occasion it won't fit on a drive, that's where the mini loader comes into it's own, slightly longer drag to get to roadside, no problem.

I didn't get in a driveway for nearly 6 years with the 2150, always had 2 or more groundies so was never a problem, I didn't know loaders like that were available back then ,it would of saved a lot of effort and labour costs for sure.

sorry if its been asked before, I did scroll through the thread but what do you find the running costs like on a truck this size? Servicing, tyres, tax, mot, ins, parts etc?

Just asking as been putting some money away to do my rigid test at some point this year (when i get a chance) and your setup seems to tick soo many boxes.

So for about £20 a week over and above the running cost of a transit you can move ten times the amount in one journey. That makes the truck the equivalent of 200mpg if you are busy , you are also saving the cost of an extra driver and staff waiting for the truck to return , I dont know why you bother :001_smile::thumbup1: All for the sake of investing a few quid in a license :001_rolleyes:
