It took until I saw the pinky and perky bit before I worked out what you meant! Probably won't get complaints then!

 

 

As far as any advice goes, it looks like you've done this kind of thing before so I won't stick my nose in, but are you putting the tin sheets on the inside of the frame?

 

It will tip chip out better on the inside, but look better on the outside, which are you going for?

 

My only other tip (which I'm sure you know) is to silicone up all the edges before fixing the tin in place.

Rather than use silicone you should use Silkoflex I think it's called, black stuff similar to silicone used for bedding and sealing car wings and panels but much much stronger than silicone

Or panel bond available from most auto paint suppliers, very sticky strong stuff doesnt come off in a hurry.

I have an Ldv. 60,000 Miles omn clock and mechanically sound.

 

Looks like a something i picked up from scrappys for free though!.

 

You have just inspired me to go rip of thiose ply-board high sides and use metal sheets.

 

Your ldv looks good. very nice.
