Gotta hate a dead robinia or pop, snappy horrible things that you can’t rig off of.
Hangers can be a pain in the backside when reducing ash or chestnut but I tend to assume that’s going to happen and don’t get to disheartened when it does happen.

Guilty as charged.  The 3 strike rule...  I will give them 2 chances the third time it twigs me in the eye or up me snout...  see ya later.

I don't climb yet, but cutting and dragging hawthorn or blackthorn is a nightmare.
After a few days of such a friend saw my forearms and asked if I was self harming?

Bad enough , but firethorn or pyracantha. Is worse.

the stuff should be banned

Monteray cypress and busy wide canopied cherrys are a bitch.

I say cherrys cause ive just had to reduce 6 now that the blossoms dropped.

Oh and limes,id gladly rid the country of every one of those epi sproutin bastards.

i've had a berberis thorn in my back for years, pretty certain it never came out or broke down.  Can feel it still.  I did go to the doctors at the time but he didn't want to prod about with it too much as it was so close to my spine.
