Does anyone demand payment on job completion?

I don't accept cheques (they were fased out in the 80's in the civilised world...)
Bank transfer only, payment to be in within 30 days.

I rarely do small jobs for mrs miggins though.

Only once had a customer pay late.

who's the pleb in the video? Its the "sure i'll square you up another day" attitude. I sometimes take on jobs knowing payment could take a few days, customer doesn't get paid until the end of the month etc. but they have the decency to tell you that before you start the job. Its something else to stand there all day inspecting the job, tell you its a grand job, then drive off as soon as its finished!

Had a couple of pensioners hand me a sizeable Nationwide cheque last Thursday.

I’m Nationwide as well. Cushty.

Paid in first thing Friday (after a massive fuck-on to get to the bank).

 

Found out it won’t clear till Thursday!

These sort of situations can lead to a very turbulent relationship.

 

If this situation arises again tell your wife to ring Mrs Egg. She will advise her how to get shoes in the sale. Cuz every new pair of shoes she buys she just got the in the sale, so she tells me.

Alive and well mate.

She tried to go out the other week in slightly mismatched tall brown leather boots, I had to point it out.

I’ve tried to tell her to at least pair them in the same wing of our house.
