I dont use it, but it was going to be my next purchase rope-wise (after getting advice on colour on arbtalk)....I dont know if it would make any difference, and i am sure you lot do it anyway, but when you descend and pull your rop out of the tree, i always pull all the rope back through the tree, pulling from my hitch end, so that the trailing end has to come through the tree. This takes out any snags and twists that may have occurred. I just wonder if after a while lots of small twists may accumulate and cause the problem you have described?:confused1: (burble gibber waffle:001_tongue:)

Mine twists a little, but its not bad, and like Tom says pull it out the wrong way or pull it up while climbing sorts it out. I have used other ropes and they all seem to do it to some extent. Its a major PITA if you climb on both ends, which I dont these days.:001_smile:

Just wondering- like i say i havent used tachyon, but isnt it quite a thin and light rope? Maybe that could be why it seems to twist more than the likes of Yale blaze or marlow gecko (which both do it IME).:confused1::001_smile:

its thicker than blaze

tachyon 11,7mm

blaze 11,1mm

gecko 13mm not proud that i know gecko one:blushing:
