I have a freshly ported 088 that sounds a bit hungry, I think it may be a bit bonkers but won't know until it is wearing a big bar and is shown a big lump of wood:thumbup:

Whereabouts are you Spud? We’ve still got some big lumps of storm blown oak at our place in Coventry. We’re nibbling away at it in between jobs. We’ve got an 880 with a 30” bar which won’t quite meet its cut at the thickest part. You’d be welcome. [emoji106]

You accepted the quote. You can’t complain. It was your decision. If it was such an easy job, drag out your rusty Farmboss and do it yourself..

So what quote did he accept ? ...or did I miss that ? .....

I've not had no accident to date, and even if I did I'd put it down to me.  never made an insurance claim neither and don't intend too. again if I break it I pay for it..  personal injuries?, if I get caught its down to me, tough tities is what I say I'll deal with the consequences in my own way..

I'm as livid as the next man when idiots cost me money on insurance, especially as I don't intend to claim on it myself.. I insure my van third party just to make me careful, and live by my own code of conduct..  even if someone crashes into me, I pay..

So yea, I won't cost you or other tree surgeons a penny more than you pay.. and its not like I'm out cutting tree's down everyday..  sometimes I can go for months without chopping off a branch...

Haha it's a bloody good thing you wouldn't make a claim! The first thing you'd be asked for would be you're qualifications!

Then would come the dawning realisation that not only have you damaged something/yourself through inability to do a job that "isn't that difficult", but you've also been paying for insurance that was never relevant in the first place!
