I remember working in Chichester in 2000(ish) and seeing the resident peregrines.

I am here, someone call! Some old pictures somewhere from the cathedral of the falcon. They next there ev4ry year and are part of the fixtures. There also used to be a nesting pair at amberly chalk pits about 5 or 6 years back

Plenty of Buzzards here in South Cheshire  .

 

One of our groundies  spotted an object falling from the sky last week nr Sandbach Service M6 .

 

The climber said it was some kind of bird ? Seconds later he heard a crash ?

Yeah loads of buzzards. There is also a known peregrine falcon breeding spot near us on an old quarry face- love watching them and hearing them too.

Several pairs of buzzards live in the woods near me. Assorted small falcons of some sort pass through from time to time, and the odd kite - I think. My ID skills aren't the best. Wife saw a kestrel (possibly, small BOP) hunting a mouse in the garden the other day.

Plenty of Buzzards and Kites have recently started nesting in the area (Clwyds, North Wales). I've got a sparrow hawk that seems to like my garden... I've also got 2 tawny Owls that like shouting in the trees around the house most nights. love seeing them all and definitely an increase of all Raptors in the area!

I was watching a Kestrel yesterday while out walking. It was blowing a gale yet it managed to hover in one spot for minutes at a time, amazing birds. We get a few Buzzards and Sparrowhawks as well.
